John Little has served as the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel of a regional for-profit healthcare provider with over 2,500 employees in 9 states and as the Chief Compliance Officer of a public healthcare provider with over $1 billion in annual revenue and 30,000 employees in 33 states.  In his private law practice and in his role as General Counsel, John has handled hundreds of employment related matters to ensure employer compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other EEOC and DOL issues.

 

John has regularly conducted prospective review of employee discipline and discharges to ensure proper procedure and justification. He has addressed employment related issues involving company insurance policies and designed and implemented Employee Handbooks, Human Resources Policies and Proceedures, HIPAA compliant Employee Health Plan privacy policies and procedures, and Compliance Programs. John has regularly investigated confidential hotline complaints and taken corrective action where necessary, and he has trained company executives and managers on employment related policies and procedures.
